Fechin is one of the contenders for the Raven Throne, which would make him King of the Inisfail Fae Court.
He is aligned with the Seelie Fae, who believe The Morrigan and her descendants should rule.
In order to officially become king, he needs an heir. Shisti has been at court for two years, ready to become queen, but Fechin can’t stand her, and his magic rejects her. He kidnapped Azar from her home knowing she is his soul mate and can give him a child.
